Meet Chelsea

Hello there! I'm Chelsea, and I am the girl behind the Chelsea Gon blog. I created this space in 2014 to journal my life, art, and DIY projects. I am the wife of a very handsome man, and the mother to a little girl, boy and our rescue pup Pearl. We're currently living in New Orleans, LA where my husband is stationed.

Growing up, I was surrounded by crafters and artists; so I have a burning passion inside of me that never burns out. I have also always played around with and collected cameras. I love photographing those special moments in my life, and so many others' as well. I am trying to get in shape, lose weight and become a vegan! I have so many goals for myself, and I'm tired of waiting.

I will share my photos here to inspire yours, and maybe even nudge you to want to preserve your life by a professional! I hope that the rest of my blog can be a place that shows you easy ways to decorate your home, give new life to old things, cook healthy food, and show anyone how capable they are to do something themselves! I married the love of my life and best friend in 2012. Dillon and I are 2 peas in a pod and don't mind doing just about everything together. I love the bond that I share with him. I am so excited to share the rest of my life with such an amazing man. Building a life and family with him is a dream come true. We met online while we were juniors in high school and were married 3 months after my first semester of college. He enlisted into the Marine Corps after high school and I followed him to Washington, DC where we spent 3.5 amazing years together. We took a short break from the military life but we're now back and in New Orleans, LA.

Opal and Oliver are our children. Opal is a year and a half older than her brother, and she just adores the little guy. They are our entire world and the reason why we are so persistent on being as successful as possible.

This is Pearl! She is my beautiful Newfoundland that I rescued from the SPCA. She's 4 years old and amazing! You can read her story here!
